Carmarthenshire Diabetes Reference Group
All people who live with diabetes in Carmarthenshire and their carers or partners are welcome to join this group which meets to discuss all aspects of the local diabetes service. This ensures that people with diabetes have an opportunity to express their views. These are then relayed to the Carmarthenshire Diabetes Network through their five patient representatives. The Reference Group also receives information on matters discussed and decisions made at the Carmarthenshire Diabetes Network. Initially this group was set up and supported by Diabetes UK. The LHB took over that responsibility from March 2004. The group meet every three months at the LHB Offices at 2pm on the Tuesday before the Network meetings which occur the following Friday.
You do not have to be a member of diabetes UK to join the group. If you have diabetes or care for someone who has diabetes then feel free to attend these meetings. For further information please contact Hayley , Chronic Disease Administrator at the Local Health Board.
